A journey full of history and nature

Romania This country draws you in with its history, spectacular landscapes and welcoming people. On this trip, you can explore iconic regions such as Transylvania, Maramureș and Bucovina, each with its own character and charm.

Transylvania, with its medieval towns and famous Bran Castle, transports you into legends passed down through generations. Brașov and Sibiu, with cobbled streets and impressive architecture, feel like a fairy tale. Maramures, by contrast, preserves rural life through its wooden churches and hospitable people who maintain ancestral traditions. Bucovina’s painted monasteries are masterpieces, each brushstroke telling a story.

Traveling through the Romanian Carpathians

The Romanian Carpathians contain some of the country’s most beautiful regions, with magnificent mountains and nature. The terrain and limited infrastructure mean spending longer than we might wish on road journeys (see estimated travel times in the daily itinerary). However, extraordinary views along the roads and the activities and visits at each destination more than make up for it.

Fauna in its natural environment

We have two wildlife-watching activities in the Carpathians, accompanied by a local specialist who looks after our safety and explains the surrounding environment. As these are wild animals, sightings always involve some luck, even when the chances are high. The walks are straightforward and suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.
