The 2025 photography and video contest has come to an end. Congratulations to the winners, to the finalists and also to those who did not pass the first qualifiers. Thank you very much for participating.
His gaze offers a unique perspective on the world and the people who live in it.
A different perspective on familiar Japan. A trip departing on 21 May to discover Japan at its most authentic.
Accompanied by Asaki, our Japanese guide – with impeccable Spanish and surprisingly Mediterranean sensitivity – and Ariadna as photography coordinator, we will have the opportunity to discover, understand and capture the essence of the places we visit.
Ariadna tells stories through her camera. Born in Barcelona in 1976, she has spent more than 24 years seeking the spark of truth that turns a simple photo into a story with soul.
Alaska at the end of summer and early autumn displays incredibly photogenic landscapes. Eduardo Blanco Mendizábal will guide us on this expedition to capture autumn colours, imposing glaciers and local wildlife, with opportunities to photograph the Northern Lights. The highlight is an exciting seaplane trip to Brooks Falls to watch bears catching salmon at the waterfalls.
Entries for the competition have closed, with 135 participants submitting photographs and videos. Our voting now begins to select the 20 finalist images. An independent expert jury will then choose the three winners from the finalists.
We have extended the deadline for the Tuareg photo and video competition to February 29th
We have been working on a faster, more dynamic and more comprehensive website, with all our usual trips and departures so you can choose the one that best suits you.
This remote corner of the Arctic is known for its scenic beauty, where the northern lights dance in the winter sky.
A journey to capture the essence of the Arctic’s natural beauty, with unique experiences that go beyond the ordinary. A special photography departure accompanied by Eduardo Blanco, in a very small group.
This final selection was even harder, and splendid images that undoubtedly deserved a place on the list had to be left out. But we are also convinced that the finalists will not disappoint
As explained in the competition rules, we – the thirteen people working at Viajes Tuareg – handle these first rounds of selection. There is no single criterion: some colleagues value quality, others originality or the story each image tells. There are other ways to do it, but we think this variety gives all our participants more opportunities.
The announcement of the 105 photographs going through to the next round has been a long time coming. We apologise, but there is a reason for the delay: with this announcement, we are launching a new competition website. We hope this new format will make the competition more enjoyable, allowing you to view, search for and share your photos and videos more easily.
Few countries have such a concentration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as Croatia. We will visit the national parks and the open-air museum cities on the coast, called pearls of the Adriatic, whose historical legacy gives them the title of cultural heritage: Zadar, Split, Trogir, Šibenik and Dubrovnik.
For 2022, we suggest discover Croatia in a dynamic and fun way.
You can now send us your video if you have travelled with us during these two years. We want you to share footage featuring you on the trip. Help us tell the story of your experience in the best possible way. Videos submitted must:

What better way to remember moments from a trip than through the photos and videos we take?
We've been confined to our homes for weeks because of Covid19. Weeks in which, who more than anyone else, has dreamed of being able to travel again. And in recent weeks, we have learnt that something as simple as getting into the car for a weekend away, boarding a plane to explore another country, or heading off on a photographic safari is a luxury suddenly beyond our reach.
We have spent a long time on the elimination rounds, looking at your photographs again and again. Sadly, they cannot all go through, and some excellent work is missing from the 22 photographs in the final. Our work ends here: an external jury will now choose the 3 winning photographs. Good luck to everyone!

It has not been easy, but of the nearly 900 original images, only 91 remain in the competition. It has been a privilege to review all the photographs received. Some splendid pictures have been left out. Many others deserved a place too, but we are sure the 91 selected will not disappoint you. We have posted them on our Facebook profile and invite you to leave your comments! Log in to Facebook and let…

You go around the world with your camera on your shoulder (or your mobile phone) and we need images that show what our journeys are like. Shall we make a deal?
We invite you to enter the competition: it is simple, fun and there are great prizes. The only condition is that the images must have been taken on a trip organised by Viajes Tuareg during 2018.

Taking advantage of that this month of October we return to Algeria, we would like to show you some of the best Sahara photographs we have collected over the years.
Sixteen participants and twenty-two videos may not seem many compared with the almost 180 entries in the Photography Competition, but 16 is a respectable number. Adventure videos, reports from the other side of the world and heart-warming family stories – an interestingly high proportion of the Video Competition entries feature families. Many thanks to everyone who took part, and congratulations to the winners.
The competition includes videos that tell stories as wonderful and moving as Marina Jiménez’s trip to Indonesia with her father. Others are documentaries: elegant, like Carmen Munté’s film of New Zealand, or brimming with authenticity, like Asier Arteche’s Journey to Yunnan. Then there is Esther Esteban’s Journey to Myanmar, skilfully made and with colour grading that produces truly beautiful images. We have enjoyed them all.
This year we introduced the Video-instant category: videos of around 30 seconds capturing a moment of the trip. Of the three planned categories, “Us and the local population” had no winning entry, so we decided to award its €200 prize to the runner-up in the general category.
