The 2025 photography and video contest has come to an end. Congratulations to the winners, to the finalists and also to those who did not pass the first qualifiers. Thank you very much for participating.

The 2023 Photo and Video Competition has come to an end. We would like to congratulate the winners, the finalists and everyone who did not make it past the first round. Thank you all for taking part.
Your photographs offer us a unique perspective of the world and of the people who inhabit it.
Entries for the competition have closed, with 135 participants submitting photographs and videos. Our voting now begins to select the 20 finalist images. An independent expert jury will then choose the three winners from the finalists.
We have extended the deadline for the Tuareg photo and video competition to February 29th
We have been working on a faster, more dynamic and more comprehensive website, with all our usual trips and departures so you can choose the one that best suits you.
The announcement of the 105 photographs going through to the next round has been a long time coming. We apologise, but there is a reason for the delay: with this announcement, we are launching a new competition website. We hope this new format will make the competition more enjoyable, allowing you to view, search for and share your photos and videos more easily.
You can now send us your video if you have travelled with us during these two years. We want you to share footage featuring you on the trip. Help us tell the story of your experience in the best possible way. Videos submitted must:
We have spent a long time on the elimination rounds, looking at your photographs again and again. Sadly, they cannot all go through, and some excellent work is missing from the 22 photographs in the final. Our work ends here: an external jury will now choose the 3 winning photographs. Good luck to everyone!
Don't you have Facebook? See the 22 finalist photos on our website.
You go around the world with your camera on your shoulder (or your mobile phone) and we need images that show what our journeys are like. Shall we make a deal?
We invite you to enter the competition: it is simple, fun and there are great prizes. The only condition is that the images must have been taken on a trip organised by Viajes Tuareg during 2018.

Sixteen participants and twenty-two videos may not seem many compared with the almost 180 entries in the Photography Competition, but 16 is a respectable number. Adventure videos, reports from the other side of the world and heart-warming family stories – an interestingly high proportion of the Video Competition entries feature families. Many thanks to everyone who took part, and congratulations to the winners.
The competition includes videos that tell stories as wonderful and moving as Marina Jiménez’s trip to Indonesia with her father. Others are documentaries: elegant, like Carmen Munté’s film of New Zealand, or brimming with authenticity, like Asier Arteche’s Journey to Yunnan. Then there is Esther Esteban’s Journey to Myanmar, skilfully made and with colour grading that produces truly beautiful images. We have enjoyed them all.
This year we introduced the Video-instant category: videos of around 30 seconds capturing a moment of the trip. Of the three planned categories, “Us and the local population” had no winning entry, so we decided to award its €200 prize to the runner-up in the general category.
In 2016 the competition brought an excellent crop of images. If you have the time and are curious, take a look at the 100 photos that made it through the first rounds: their quality and freshness are truly surprising. Then we made a selection of the 20 best photos that we submitted to the jury. And now it’s time to announce the winners of the 2016 Travel Photo and Video Competition.
Once again, as the summer season ends, we launch a new edition of the now traditional Travel Photography and Video Competition which organizes Viajes Tuareg.
And this year we want it to be better, with more participants, more photos and more films or videos than ever before.
So we've changed some details of how it works, and above all, we're going to give more prizes to distribute among all of you who participate by sending and sharing your vision of the world. Have you already sent your photos and videos?
Recently we presented a selection of travel photographs made among all those received in our contest. Now comes the turn of the videos, and we want to present the three finalist pieces of the Viajes Tuareg Photography and Video Competition.
The videos cover three exciting trips to three beautiful countries: Thailand, Russia and Tanzania. Watch the three shortlisted entries, tell us what you think, vote and take part. Your opinion can help us decide who will win the prize of 1,500 euros!
Once again, we invite you to take part in the Viajes Tuareg Photography Competition. We know that many of you love travel with the camera at the ready, because you take great photos and we want to reward you. Don’t miss this new chance to share your creations and perhaps win a generous cash prize.
We have a winner for our 2013 travel video competition.

He’s not in the photographs because he’s the one taking them. We met Luis in Mongolia and we were fascinated by his work and his character: the quintessential photographer.
