Once again, as the summer season ends, we launch a new edition of the now traditional Travel Photography and Video Competition which organizes Viajes Tuareg.
And this year we want it to be better, with more participants, more photos and more films or videos than ever before.
So we've changed some details of how it works, and above all, we're going to give more prizes to distribute among all of you who participate by sending and sharing your vision of the world. Have you already sent your photos and videos?
We know that one of the most powerful stimuli of photography is to be able to share the images we take with those around us, family, friends, co-workers. But a good incentive is also to be able to win a prize as a result of our hobby.
So in the 2016 edition we have clearly multiplied the chances of being a lucky winner. There's a good sum of money at stake!

Prizes for the Viajes Tuareg Photography Competition
- First prize for photography: EUR 800
- Second photography prize: EUR 300
- Third prize photography: EUR 200
Previously, there was just one winner; from now on, three photography enthusiasts will win prizes. There is more too, with new categories and special photography prizes.

We are giving you, our friends and customers, the chance to choose one of the photography prizes. What could be more democratic? The photograph most popular with photography lovers will win. We're so excited. travel with you, seeing the backpacks we give you put to use around the world, our brand carried into remote jungle landscapes or planted on a summit at the end of a trek. That is why we will reward the best image featuring a backpack, bag or any item bearing our logo.
Prizes in the Viajes Tuareg Video Competition
- First prize video: €1,000
- Second prize video: EUR 400
- Third prize video: EUR 300
In the video category, we have also increased the number of prizes from two to three. We believe in video’s ability to transport us in a special way to the destinations you have visited.
Collaboration with Casanova Foto
In collaboration with the excellent photography shop Casanova Foto, we are also adding a prize draw for all participating photographers. One lucky entrant will win a a 150€ training voucher. A substantial discount on any course in digital photography, image processing or specialist photography offered by our friends at Casanova Foto.
There are more details of our collaboration with Casanova Foto which we will reveal very soon, and which EVERYONE entering the competition will be able to enjoy. We’ll explain the details soon. Stay tuned to our blog!

Who will judge the 2016 Travel Photo and Video Competition?
In recent editions of our competition, we have been fortunate to have distinguished journalists and experienced travellers serve on the jury. In 2016, the jury deciding the prizes according to its own judgement will be Josep M. Palau Riberaygua, an expert communicator, journalist and tourism consultant. Josep M. Palau is the director of Inmedia Solutions, and many of you will surely have read his articles in La Vanguardia or in other prestigious media.
We want to see your photos and videos
We already have in our possession a few photographs and videos of the trips our clients have been making throughout the year, but we want to see more. Participate now by sending your creations. And if you haven't traveled with us yet, look at the proposals we have for the Constitution Day long weekend or the trips for Christmas, just before the competition entry deadline.
