Entries for the competition have closed, with 135 participants submitting photographs and videos. Our voting now begins to select the 20 finalist images. An independent expert jury will then choose the three winners from the finalists.

This final selection was even harder, and splendid images that undoubtedly deserved a place on the list had to be left out. But we are also convinced that the finalists will not disappoint
As explained in the competition rules, we – the thirteen people working at Viajes Tuareg – handle these first rounds of selection. There is no single criterion: some colleagues value quality, others originality or the story each image tells. There are other ways to do it, but we think this variety gives all our participants more opportunities.
A new way to experience the competition
The announcement of the 105 photographs going through to the next round has been a long time coming. We apologise, but there is a reason for the delay: with this announcement, we are launching a new competition website. We hope this new format will make the competition more enjoyable, allowing you to view, search for and share your photos and videos more easily.

The entry rules for the 2020–2021 photography competition are now available.
This year’s competition is open to travellers from 2020 and 2021. We invite you to take part: it’s fun, there are good cash prizes (with no obligation to spend them at the agency), and your photographs will get exposure.
What better way to remember moments from a trip than through the photos and videos we take?
We've been confined to our homes for weeks because of Covid19. Weeks in which, who more than anyone else, has dreamed of being able to travel again. And in recent weeks, we have learnt that something as simple as getting into the car for a weekend away, boarding a plane to explore another country, or heading off on a photographic safari is a luxury suddenly beyond our reach.
We have spent a long time on the elimination rounds, looking at your photographs again and again. Sadly, they cannot all go through, and some excellent work is missing from the 22 photographs in the final. Our work ends here: an external jury will now choose the 3 winning photographs. The exhibition We would like to return is a collection of images and accounts from travellers who visited Mali, Syria, Yemen and Libya between the 1990s and the first decade of the 2000s.
At that time, curiosity about new places and different cultures grew exponentially. Travelling off the beaten track became more common, and new destinations appeared in travel agency brochures.
This year 173 contestants participated in the contest with a total of 712 images of which 72 passed the first round. If you have time and curiosity you can enter and see the 72 photos : a truly surprising level of quality and originality. We then selected the 22 best photos that we submitted to the jury. And now it’s time to announce the winners of the Photo Contest 2017. And among these finalists, the journalist Elena del Maestro has selected the three prizewinners. Thank you all for taking part. We love seeing the world through your lens.
Africa’s rich ethnic diversity is reflected year after year in the entries to our travel photography competition.
All the images submitted were taken by participants on our trips through Africa and were part of our 2016 photo contest.
In 2016 the competition brought an excellent crop of images. If you have the time and are curious, take a look at the 100 photos that made it through the first rounds: their quality and freshness are truly surprising. Then we made a selection of the 20 best photos that we submitted to the jury. And now it’s time to announce the winners of the 2016 Travel Photo and Video Competition.
The competition of Photographs and Travel Videos The competition moves on, and we can now announce the 22 images through to the final. We have already explained that We have received about 900 photos, which after a first internal selection We're down to 100. Now in a second round there is 22 great snapshots which we have sent to the jury to select the winners in each category.
The public has voted and we have a winner in the popular vote category. The photograph, entitled “Himba', taken by Josep Maria Isach Boixader on your trip to Namibia and Botswana She's the winner. Congratulations!

Once again, as the summer season ends, we launch a new edition of the now traditional Travel Photography and Video Competition which organizes Viajes Tuareg.
And this year we want it to be better, with more participants, more photos and more films or videos than ever before.
