The cards are dealt, or the die is cast. That is what it means Alea jacta est. The deadline for submitting photos and videos to our annual travel photography and video competition has now passed.
We feel fortunate to have received more than 900 photographs and a good number of videos reflecting Unique travel moments from our customers and friends.
Now the jury's hard work begins... while participants cross their fingers, pray and invoke Pallas Athena or their favourite gods.

One hundred and ninety-five participants is a wonderful turnout. Thank you all for the time and effort spent selecting and submitting photographs and creating beautiful videos!
What now?
The entire team of Viajes Tuareg, from Mercè in administration to Xavi, the agency’s newest team member, we look at the photos again and again. Round after round, the initial 900 images become 400, then 100, and so on until we reach the 20 finalist images delivered to the jury. During these next few weeks we will inform you about the progress of the selection process. Stay tuned here, and on our social networks.
Different categories, various prizes
In addition to the contest in which the best photographs and videos are awarded, remember that this 2016 edition introduces two new categories:
Viajes Tuareg around the world
From all the images received, we select those meeting the requirement to show the logo of Viajes Tuareg in different parts of the world) and vote for them: one person, one vote. The photograph with the most votes wins. Taking part in this category does not exclude entry in the others.
Best photo by popular vote
The photographs are displayed in our Online photography gallery, so that participants, friends and the public can vote for their favourites. The deadline is 15 February at 12.00 noon. After the final count, we will announce the category winner, who receives a prize of 200 euros.
