Photography trip to Sweden and Norway

Special departure on March 10 with Eduardo Blanco. A photography trip in a very small group.

This itinerary, designed to travel in a small group, focuses on optimizing the ideal conditions to capture the stunning images of the Northern Lights.

The northern lights

At night, we will photograph the northern lights among beautiful fjords, fishing villages and high, snow-covered mountains.

Early March still offers opportunities to see the northern lights. Although their intensity and frequency tend to decrease towards spring, nights remain quite dark here, improving the chances of sightings.

At night we will move away from sources of light pollution to choose locations with dark skies and increase the chances of seeing the auroras clearly.

It should be noted that weather conditions and solar activity may vary, there is no absolute guarantee of sighting.

Accompanying photographer and guide

Designed for a maximum of 7 people, the trip includes a local guide and the active participation of Eduardo Blanco Mendizabal, who will lead the photography sessions and coordinate the group. Eduardo tells stories through images, a form of expression he considers more powerful than words. He has coordinated several of our photography trips to destinations including Croatia, Ireland and Alaska.

The strength of a good photograph lies in its ability to communicate without the need for translation, being universally understood. For this reason, it is crucial to have someone like Eduardo, who possesses the unique ability to transmit emotions and narratives through his images.

Accommodation

Most nights will be spent in traditional local cabins, or “rorbuer‘ adapted for travellers. Naturally situated near the sea, they usually have two small bedrooms, each with a bunk bed. Each cabin sleeps up to 4 people, with a shared bathroom, dining/living room and basic kitchen.

Transport

Road journeys usually use minibuses carrying up to 8 passengers plus the driver, with enough space for luggage and photographic equipment.
