Places to visit without leaving home

The current situation is difficult for everyone, especially travellers who never want to stop discovering, exploring and learning. To help you pass the time, we suggest some so many places to visit without leaving home. Of course it will not be the same, but desperate times call for creative solutions. Some museums, monuments and attractions already offer virtual tours.

1. Museum of the Acropolis of Athens

One of the essentials of the Greek capital that, of course, we visit in our trip to Greece. Working with Google Arts & Culture, the museum has digitised many exhibits, from murals to sculptures. We can also enjoy panoramic views of the Greek city. Shall we take a look? Start the visit.

2. Louvre Museum in Paris

Another great museum, and one we could visit again and again. Its virtual reality tour covers much of the museum and its galleries: a good opportunity to explore this must-see. Fancy a visit? Start the visit.

Monterey Bay Aquarium in California offers 10 live webcams showing its different tanks. Penguins, jellyfish and sharks help us pass the time while learning: a perfect way to entertain little ones too. Start the visit!

6. Other virtual visits

The proposals listed in this post are just a few examples. Google Arts & Culture offers lots of options for travelling without leaving home. I'm sure they'll help us pass the time a little bit, and inspire our trips in summer.
