Our friends at the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s office in Spain have just sent us a note confirming Phuket as the first destination in the country to reopen to international tourism.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to confirm that Phuket will be the first destination in Thailand to reopen to vaccinated foreign tourists without quarantine requirements from 1 July 2021.
«All of us in TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) share the excitement and anticipation of everyone in Phuket in preparing to welcome back foreign tourists in the not too distant future. From 1 July 2021, vaccinated foreign tourists will be able to visit Phuket without quarantine, so the countdown begins now for the reopening of Phuket» said Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of TAT.
Throughout the month of June, our Viajes Tuareg will receive more up-to-date information for all interested travel to Thailand and how you can travel back to Phuket safely.
We recall that the requirements for travellers from 1 July are:
- Certificate of Vaccination
- Negative PCR test
- Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Thai Embassy
- COVID travel insurance
