We have modified our trips and itineraries to meet the strictest safety measures, adapting transport, accommodation and excursion arrangements to the new social distancing requirements.
We wanted to hear what you thought of the result.
You were Mad about travel. and we know how the experience has been. After months of waiting to travel, the first groups have returned from their travel and tell us what it is like to travel again after some countries reopened their international borders.
For our trips, criteria such as the incidence and control capacity of the pandemic have been followed, as well as current measures and the guarantees offered by each destination.

Albania and Macedonia the unknown northern valleys, classical Albania and Macedonia
Date of departure: 2020-08-04
Name: ANA R.
- Suggestions for future travel: I do not know if in this context "covid 19" the visit to Lake Ohrid in Macedonia is highly recommended. There were a lot of people. The place is nice and we had a chance to escape... but it was a little saturated at sunset.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Varied and well balanced between cities and mountains, with a range of interesting activities. Plenty of historical context, with visits to ruins and monasteries, as well as walks in the mountains.
- The best of the trip: Excellent local staff: guide and driver. Hotels generally good.
Name: MARIA GUADALUPE J. T.
- Suggestions for future trips: Personally, I am getting a little older and should choose quieter trips, haha.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: A wonderful surprise: I knew nothing about these countries, and the route was fantastic. Very well planned, with a wonderful guide and fun group. I enjoyed it enormously and laughed a lot, in a summer when I thought I might not get away. Thank you.
- The best of the trip: Without a doubt the Theth Valley, stunning mountains... Also the descent to the beach, scary road!! and all visits to Monasteries, mosques.
Name: MARIA VICTORIA J. T.
- Suggestions for future trips: That depends on the audience. I think it is excellent for people who enjoy excursions and are prepared for them.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: The overall impression was very good. Everything was well organised, the hotels were suitable, and the driver and guide were excellent, attentive and friendly.
- The best of the trip: I knew nothing about Albania and loved its landscapes and walks. Everything was beautiful, and the group was great too.
Name: MARIA PILAR S. T.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Unbeatable. You've far exceeded my expectations.
- The best of the trip: The truth is that perhaps it has been everything: nature, hotels, the sites visited in general... but above all, the guide and the driver. Don't let them get away because they're pure gold.
Name: MARIA ESTHER V. H.
- Suggestions for future trips: On mountain walks, someone should always assist the guide, with one person at the back and another at the front, to prevent misunderstandings and anyone straying from the trail.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: The destination really surprised me. The trip was well organised and we enjoyed it despite COVID. It offers such varied places that it never becomes tiring or boring.
- The best of the trip: We really appreciated the unexpected extras outside the programme. Several boat trips were welcome in the heat and spared us mid-morning walks. There were also unscheduled church visits when someone expressed an interest. They treated us very well.

Azores Hiking on São Miguel
Date of departure: 2020-07-25
Name: JUAN M. C.
-
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Very good.
-
- The best of the trip: The landscapes, food, guide and organisation
Name: MERCEDES C. M.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: The overall impression of the trip was very good but the hotel did not match the expectations offered in the brochure.
- The best of the trip: São Miguel is exceptional, and the guide and driver were excellent. However, the stay in Furnas is too short to enjoy the park and thermal area properly.
Date of departure: 2020-08-08
Name: ESTHER M. M.
- Suggestions for future travel: It would be better to separate the two non-walking days rather than have them consecutively. Review the outbound flight times: arrival in Ponta Delgada is too late even to have dinner in town, and the route starts the following day.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Good, but a little short. You advertise 8 days, but it is really a 6-day trip, as the first and last days are entirely travel. The outbound flight times could be much better.
- The best of the trip: Filip, the Futurismo guide in the Azores, and the hotel.
Name: PILAR Q. Q.
- Suggestions for future trips: Some cultural activities in the afternoon, although that is not always possible.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: I really liked the trip’s organisation, and both the driver and guide were professional and friendly.
- The best of the trip: The landscape, the hotel and the whole organization in general.

Albania and Montenegro: trekking in the Dinaric Alps
Date of departure: 2020-08-06
Name: Daniel Mariano M. C.
- Suggestions for future trips: Combine it with three days of cultural visits.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Excellent.
- The best of the trip: The landscapes
Name: JOAN ANTONI P.P.
- Suggestions for future trips: For mountain itineraries like this, participants should be clearly reminded that they need a reasonable level of fitness and experience of mid- to high-mountain walks to complete the routes as described in the programme.
- Impressions of the trip of interest to other travelers: Keen to return
- The best of the trip: The mountains.
