For ten days, you will immerse yourself in a natural environment of overwhelming beauty, climbing mountains that rise from 1850 to 3780 meters. Throughout this journey, we will cross mountain passes, cross rivers that wind through the landscape, as we discover hidden mountain lakes.

Panoramic views of the central Tien Shan leave you breathless and create lasting memories.

Exploring the Unknown

Our expedition invites you to challenge yourself and experience the unknown, exploring Altyn Emel, Charyn Canyon and Kolsay Kolderi national parks, where nature is spectacular and unspoilt.

A world of unique landscapes

From fairytale alpine forests to wildflower meadows, every stage offers a new landscape. Traditional circular yurts welcome us along the way, connecting us with the culture of peoples who have lived in harmony with this land for centuries.

Following in the footsteps of Piotr Semionov-Tian-Shanski

In May 1856, the young Russian explorer Piotr Petrovich Semionov-Tian-Shanski ventured into the Tien Shan Mountains, a region unknown and mysterious to Europeans of his time. With courage and determination, Piotr explored unexplored territories, revealing to the world the majesty of these mountains. Now, more than a century later, our expedition will travel some of the routes he traced, allowing you to relive his epic journey and feel the same emotion he felt when discovering these landscapes for the first time.

Following the snow leopard’s tracks

The tenth day of our expedition is special. After breakfast, we begin a 7 km walk to Karakol Pass at 3450 metres, with breathtaking Tien Shan views. We then descend to Lake Karakol, entering snow leopard habitat. These elusive predators hunt wild goats at night or early morning. If we stay quiet, we may be lucky enough to spot one; binoculars will help.

Our camp lies beside Lake Karakol at 3150 metres.
