What is an organised trip to Thailand like?

Thailand receives more visitors than almost any other country in Southeast Asia, perhaps the most of all, and has a tradition of welcoming them warmly and willingly. Thailand stands out as a complete destination that meets the needs and desires of a wide range of travelers.

Thailand has tropical beaches, some of Asia’s most highly regarded food, Buddhist temples, tropical landscapes, diverse ethnic groups, ancient traditions and plenty of nightlife. If you want a great Asian holiday, Thailand is the place.

How are our trips to Thailand organised?

To explain what an organised trip to Thailand is like, we use our own itineraries as examples: trekking among ethnic minorities and southern beaches, our Khao Sok safari and our southern Thailand trip.

In the north our trips focus on ethnic minorities (Karen, Lahu and Akha). They take centre stage. We leave bustling Chiang Mai behind to stay in local huts, where we eat and sleep during the trek.

In the south, beaches and social life attract visitors from around the world, while the peninsula retains some of Thailand’s oldest tropical jungles. Limestone mountains reach the west coast, their sheer walls plunging into the sea. Walks and canoe trips allow us to discover these exotic landscapes.

Thailand is a country where you can travel freely, as long as you know the areas you can't miss and how to get to them. From Viajes Tuareg, we offer a trip combining the freedom of independent travel in Thailand with organised visits to spectacular places off the usual tourist routes.

Organised trip to Thailand: Flights

Price is the main consideration for travellers searching for flights. Those who can travel in low season may find cheaper fares more easily than those restricted to high season. In the latter case, a small group trip to Thailand with free days and some pre-booked services may be a more attractive option.

Travel agencies negotiate airfares well in advance according to departure dates. On trips with flights included, we fly to Thailand with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. We keep the same airline in low season, and in high season we negotiate, reserve and pay for seats in advance.

Booking flight seats in advance allows us to offer affordable fares to Thailand in July and August.

Organised trip to Thailand: accommodation

On an organised group trip to Thailand, hotels are chosen by the travel agency in collaboration with its local partner. On our trips, location is a key consideration, making it easier for travellers to enjoy activities.

In the northern trekking areas, where there are no hotels or tourist facilities, we prioritise authentic experiences and contact with local people. We stay in raised huts, usually built from bamboo or wood.

Organized Trip to Thailand: Itineraries

Every year, we review our routes and listen to travellers to see what we can change or improve. Our routes draw on many different opinions and the experience of previous travellers, helping minimise the risk of mistakes.

Whether travelling independently or in a group, countless factors can change the trip’s schedule, for better or worse. In a small group, a local team can help with unexpected problems. In Thailand, the monsoon can cause some complications.

If we arrange activities independently, everything may go well and be inexpensive, but the experience can also be disappointing.

Booking with an unprofessional provider can result in poor service.

Travel agencies arrange activities through local partners with all the accreditation required to provide the services. Thailand is an easy country to travel in. At Viajes Tuareg, we arrange the services that are harder to organise, leaving you free time in cities and on the beaches.
