Trekking for beginners in the Himalayas

Can you imagine walking among 8,000 m mountains without embarking on a demanding trek?

We suggest a trip to Nepal which includes a four-day walk in the Annapurna region, with extraordinary views of Himalayan giants (Annapurna, Machapuchare…) and an accessible trail through villages in the Pokhara region among bamboo and rhododendron forests.

A highlight is the climb to the Poon Hill viewpoint. What a spectacular panoramic view!

Best trekking season in the Himalayas

The best time to visit the Pokhara Valley and trek in the Annapurnas is during the cold season, October to March, when visibility of the high peaks is best. Pleasant daytime temperatures of 10°C to 20°C and low humidity make ideal conditions for exploring the Himalayan trails without suffocating or facing inclement weather.

While the cold season offers ideal weather conditions for our trekking in the Himalayas, each season offers unique experiences that reveal the magic of these mountains.

  • Spring (April-May): Flower-filled landscapes, mild temperatures and fewer tourists create an unrivalled visual spectacle.
  • Summer (June-August): Clear skies, warm temperatures and a lot of festivals and cultural events.
  • Autumn (September): The forests turn gold and red, with pleasant temperatures and less rain.
  • Winter (October-March): Snowy landscapes with ideal conditions for trekking.

Whenever you choose to go, the Himalayan trek for amateur hikers offers an unforgettable experience.

The best time to embark on a trekking in the Himalayas, focusing on places such as Pokhara Valley and the Annapurnas, is undoubtedly the cool season, from October to March. This period offers the clearest views of the highest peaks. Pleasant daytime temperatures of 10º to 20º and low humidity create ideal walking conditions, without oppressive heat or serious weather disruption. In winter itself, you can also enjoy snowy landscapes.

Although autumn (September) also presents very good conditions with golden colors and less rain, and spring (April-May) offers blooms and warm temperatures, the window October to March is the most recommended for its clear skies and stable hiking weather.
