A great trip. is not linked to a duration, a particular destination or means of transport, but one that poses a challenge. On a night like tonight, we remember three travellers who set off on a great journey following a star: Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar. A journey through the desert to bring gold, frankincense and myrrh to a newborn.
We do not know for sure whether they crossed the desert of Namibia, Gobi, Wadi Rum and Sahara. What we do know is that each of you, as travellers, has a challenge when setting off on an adventure, whether following a star, a dream or a desire to discover new places…

Gobi is a vast, empty wilderness. The predominant landscape is not the combination of stone and sand found in other deserts, but a arid steppe partially covered with grass. West of Dalanzadgad is one of the landscapes where the desert takes its most characteristic form: mountains of sand Hongoryn Els.

“Few places in the world could better symbolise hell. I would rather die than be deported here.” This is how the Swedish explorer described it Charles Andersson. The Namib andis the oldest on the planet and also an inexhaustible source of immense and beautiful landscapes due to one of its most representative characteristics, the reddish tone of its sand.

“The cliffs ended in domes, their red less fiery than the rest of the mountain, almost grey and muted. These domes gave this irresistible place a Byzantine architectural finish: this processional path surpassed anything imagined… Our little caravan grew smaller and smaller, wrapped in deathly silence, fearful and ashamed to reveal its insignificance before such majestic mountains.” Sir Lawrence of Arabia.

A trip to Jaisalmer is not complete without seeing the most picturesque dunes. The murmuring of the dunes caressed by the wind creates a charming mirage. In the heart of the Thar desert, every evening the sun offers us a different and wonderful spectacle. It's the sunset over the golden city of Jaisalmer, one of the most magical places of the India.

Very possibly the golden dunes of the Sahara are the first image that comes to mind when we think of a desert. The legendary Sahara, able to cross all of North Africa It is certainly one of the most spectacular in the world.
