Where to travel in summer 2021 | Recommended trip: Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia

Both end in “tan”, but what we find there is very different…

– UZBEKISTAN: A celebration of Islamic history and architecture along the ancient Silk Road. Desert and steppe landscapes

– KYRGYZSTAN: the Switzerland of Central Asia: nomads with their yurts, forests, an average altitude of 2000 m and the peaks of the Pamirs on the horizon.

An irresistible mix of sultans, harems, nomads, 5,000 m peaks, steppes, modernity and Soviet memories.

Our trips to Central Asia

> The Silk Road’s monumental oases: Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, with nature walks in the Nurata Mountains
> 11-day trip.
> Departures from July to November.

We will follow the classic route through the historic sights, with a detour to Sentiab between the Nurata Mountains and the Kyzylkum Desert, far from the bustle of the cities.

> Cycling in Uzbekistan. If you enjoy combining cycling with cultural visits to ancient cities, you will love Uzbekistan.
> 9-day trip
> Departure on 11 SEP 2021

We explore a unique region where the Nuratau Mountains rise between Kizil-Kum Desert to the north and Kara-Kum to the south. Cyclists are rewarded with landscapes changing every kilometre in the colours of deserts and mountains.

  • We suggest a selection of small-group trips for travel in summer to different places, away from the usual tourist routes.
