Travelling to Crete means immersing yourself in a blend of history, nature and ancient traditions.
This great Mediterranean island is home to legendary palaces, villages where time seems to stand still and idyllic beaches. Our 8-day itinerary invites us to discover the island’s essence with Mirsini, local guide passionate about his culture.

Next departure to Crete: 16 June
If you're thinking about traveling to Crete this year, there's a departure on June 16th.
June travel has advantages: pleasant temperatures, fewer people than July and August, and good conditions to explore the island peacefully.
The route combines some of the most representative places of Crete, alternating stretches of coast with inland villages, cultural visits and time to enjoy the natural environment, maintaining a balanced rhythm.
Crete, exploring Minotaur Island
In Crete, Knossos Palace brings the Minotaur legend to life, evoking its mythical labyrinth and Theseus’s adventure guided by Ariadne’s thread.

In the heart of the Mediterranean, Crete preserves the legacy of great civilisations, from Minoan remains at legendary Knossos Palace to Venetian fortresses in Rethymno and Chania. History, nature and tradition intertwine as we explore unusual forests, gorges, timeless villages and crystal-clear coves.
Immerse yourself in the “Great Island” with Mirsini, our local guide.

3 reasons to discover Crete
Knossos Palace
The political and ceremonial centre of Minoan civilisation and setting of the legendary Minotaur's Labyrinth. A visit that takes you back 4,000 years.

Loutro, the town without roads
Accessible only on foot or by boat. A small whitewashed paradise beside extraordinarily blue waters, where time stands still.

Rethymnon
A place whose appeal needs no embellishment. Venetian and Ottoman influences shape its historic centre, inviting you to wander narrow alleys, flower-filled balconies and small squares.

What to see on the trip?
Minoan heritage
Knossos, archaeological collections and sites such as Eleftherna introduce the Minotaur myth and everyday Minoan life, connecting Crete’s past and present. We follow Minoan civilisation through the island’s palaces and sites.
Hidden Beaches and Paths
Accessible walks between mountains and sea, boat crossings and dips in crystal clear waters. We will walk through unique natural landscapes, away from mass tourism; from Falasarna beach to the gorge of Imbros and the small coastal village of Loutro.
Crete like a Cretan
With Mirsini, our local guide who loves the island, we discover her favourite places: family tavernas, village kafenia, craft workshops and hidden churches.
We will discover the Crete that does not appear in the brochures, made of stories and encounters with local people.

Mirsini, Viajes Tuareg guide in Crete
Before tourism, Mirsini worked in social services and trained in psychology, bringing a warm, human perspective to every visit. Passionate about history, archaeology and mythology, she tells stories, connects travellers with local people and creates authentic experiences.

I am Mirsini, official tourist guide and passionate about Crete. I grew up between Crete and Athens (my mother is from Crete and my father from Athens) and, after living several years in London, Madrid and Bilbao working and studying, I learned to appreciate the advantages of living on a small island (though not so small): the most relaxed pace of life, proximity to nature, opportunities for spontaneity and, of course, good food.
I live in picturesque coastal Rethymno and often visit my mountain village, Gerakari, to help in the family orchards and go hiking.
I look forward to travelling with you and showing you Crete, its landscapes, traditions and warm-hearted people!
Accommodation and logistics
During the trip we will stay in comfortable and well located hotels: three nights in Heraklion, one in Gerakari and three in Chania. Transfers are made in air-conditioned minibuses.
