The bicycle is a common means of transport in many parts of the world. The reasons are clear: a bicycle is inexpensive, requires little maintenance and needs no fuel. We love cycling trips, and our website offers plenty of routes on wheels, but today we are going to look at how local people use this means of transport in their daily lives.
Thailand is a fascinating country in the southeast of Asia full of curiosities that contrast with our customs and culture. Here are some things you might not know for your monarchy and the recent death of its king, an event that has greatly changed some aspects of daily life in the country. In tourism activities and Organised tours of Thailand has had little impact.
Once again, as the summer season ends, we launch a new edition of the now traditional Travel Photography and Video Competition which organizes Viajes Tuareg.
And this year we want it to be better, with more participants, more photos and more films or videos than ever before.
So we've changed some details of how it works, and above all, we're going to give more prizes to distribute among all of you who participate by sending and sharing your vision of the world. Have you already sent your photos and videos?
A hundred years is no small achievement. The railway line connecting Russia from end to end, the Trans-Siberian Railway, celebrates 100 years since its completion. On 5 October 1916, the final section of Eurasia’s most famous railway was finished. A bridge across the Amur River at Khabarovsk completed the last stretch of the main line of the Trans-Siberian. A bridge whose size earned it the name “Miracle of the Amur” in its day, and the final piece of a monumental engineering project.

We don’t know why. Perhaps it’s the influence of the earth’s forces, the gases released into the atmosphere, or the delicious Sicilian pasta. What we do know is that, for the second time running, the winner of our feedback competition does so with a review of a trip through the peaks of Sicily.
The winner of this fifteenth edition is Aurèlia Manils, for sharing her opinion on trip with Tuareg a Italy to do hiking on the volcanoes of Sicily and in the Aeolian Islands. Here is their feedback.
The United Nations has proclaimed 2017 International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. This is good news: it will help raise awareness and, above all, encourage action among everyone involved in tourism, from professionals to travellers.
Talk about Iceland is to speak of a destination where the forces of nature are overwhelming. Magma erupts violently from volcanoes, winds strengthen without warning, ice builds up layer upon layer, tectonic plates shift, waterfalls plunge with abandon and the earth takes on every imaginable colour. Together, these forces have shaped a landscape that draws in and mesmerises the unsuspecting traveller.
That we collaborate with prestigious Travel bloggers We told you a few days ago right here on the blog of Viajes Tuareg. Today we would like to mention several recent articles in the Spanish press in which we feature to varying degrees.
The Ennedi Massif north Chad is one of the sites recently added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. At its latest meeting, 21 new sites were added (12 cultural, six natural and three mixed), bringing the total to 1,052 sites in 165 countries. These are always places worth travelling to!
The bridges are built to connect, and perhaps that is why we like them so much. Since the first ones appeared bridges in Bronze Age Greece, humans have kept building these structures, trying to bridge the distances between us. There are so many bridges that we have built, that today they represent an immense cultural heritage, treasures that tell us about history, culture and science. Undoubtedly, great platforms worth travel.
That's why we wanted to look at different bridges that we find in some of the countries we visit regularly. Here we go.
Viajes Tuareg has initiated a whole series of actions to collaborate with several of the Travel bloggers most prestigious and well-known in Spain, working together to share aspects of our trips from each author’s unique perspective. Journalists from some of the most widely read media outlets have also described what travelling with us is like from their point of view.
As a result, reports and articles have appeared in the media, some of which we would like to share here. They cover trips to places such as South Africa, Thailand, Namibia, or Madagascar.
«When elephants fight, it is grass that suffers»
– African proverb
With this African proverb today we want to join the celebration of the International Day of the African Child, and of girls too. We know we are all a little tired of “days of...» but here is our small tribute, because we love Africa and supporting their children means investing in their future.
Since many of us are used to discover the world always with company, to set off for travel alone It's a adventure which often presents a challenge. But did you know that 4 out of 10 people travelling in our groups join us on their own? Travelling on your own has many advantages. We know this, which is why we offer the opportunity to travelling solo as part of a small group people, who often also travel independently, without a partner, friends or any ties.
On 1 September 2016 there will be a annular eclipse in Madagascar, and we won’t miss it. Viajes Tuareg will be there, just as we travelled to the last eclipse in Indonesia and others before it. We like to be in the best place to witness the effects of celestial bodies coming into perfect alignment.
From eclipse in Indonesia we vividly remember a spectacular photograph by our contributor J. C. Casado and spread across half the internet and beyond.
For several years, we have seen places in Africa offering visitors the seemingly appealing activity of walking “accompanied” by impressive lions. Walking with lions they called it, and at first glance, who wouldn’t sign up for such an experience?
Have you seen our advert at the Texas cinema? For a few days now, a video of Viajes Tuareg before each screening. We recommend visiting this well-known Barcelona cinema to see the beautiful images we have prepared on the big screen.
If you can't make it, we share the content below, although of course it isn't quite the same…
The great trip to Madagascar organised by Viatges Tuareg with journalists, travel agents and bloggers has now ended, and the whole team has returned home. It is time to reflect on the journey and discover a few more details of what it brought us.
Now we have the perfect opportunity to get to know a little more Carla, the winning blogger of the competition we organized to travel to Madagascar (#MadagascarConTuareg ), and hear about her experience of spending two weeks travelling around the great African island.
We will chat with her about her adventures, without giving away anything she will soon be publishing on her blog.
Thank you all for your support. Now it’s really happening… off to Madagascar! #MadagascarConTuareg https://t.co/TnoIibh49L pic.twitter.com/wRgsS6bkNq

By now you must be aware that We raffled €200 among all the travellers who give us opinions of their travels. In fact, in Viajes Tuareg we believe there is no better way to grow than by hearing our customers’ experiences first hand. We have new opinions and, therefore, new winners. Congratulations to the lucky winners!
Our collaborator Ignasi Rovira will soon be running an interesting photography course travel. Ignasi has traveled all over the world and guided groups of Viajes Tuareg on a large number of photography tours and trips, always ensuring that travellers return delighted.
